Microdermabrasion is one non-invasive process in which tiny crystals are used and scrubbed against your skin to remove the layer of superficial dead skin cells. The top layer of your skin is also referred to as “stratum corneum.” When the crystals are used to remove this layer, your body interprets it as an “injury.” In response, it starts developing new skin cells to replace the lost ones. This is when you get a new, healthy layer of skin cells. The time required for this procedure is somewhat around 30 minutes.
