Nails are made of a hard protein known as “keratin” that guards the nails against damages as they grow out of the fingers. It is critical for the nail’s health and also makes them firm and strong. When the nails poke out of the skin, it’s safe to cut them, and they won’t hurt at all. The fingernails grow slowly about 3.47 millimetres each month, but they grow faster in summer. If you lose the entire fingernails due to an injury, it may take four to six months to grow out completely.
